Why do we pray?

Why do we pray? What is god all about? Why do most of us have an unquestioned credence in him? Questions like these have always been a puzzle. I have made attempts finding answers to it.

Many religious books have spoken about great people who come to earth from time to time. The books have also spoken about their deeds and how they have made difference to mankind. Most called them GOD....but a handful saw them as great men.....Jesus, Krishna, Rama, Indra, Buddha, Mahavira ....... They have someway been able to do wonderful things to mankind throughout their existence in flesh and blood. What made them so powerful? Were they really able to ‘see’ or ‘feel’ what we as common man couldn’t.

I have tried to understand an amalgamated version of such ‘Gods’. Let me start with this example.

Man has always tried to explain what it couldn’t understand through various scientific and intuitive ways. For example before it was found that earth lies in the epicenter and the rest of the universe revolves around it. But when science took the reference axis from earth to outer space it found that things were lot different. If we consider yet another reference may be the outer space of universe, we might find another answer. The change in the reference axis made the entire difference. There is no doubt that both the things are true. But the difference only lies in the way we see things.

The same difference is observed when it comes to god. We all have “chosen” to believe in what these great men have tried to define what God is. It is sure that most of them have found out certain facts about the unknown. They have further taken a step to share the information with the common man.

We have used our mental and physical capabilities to create a special space in the real world ( matrix). The place we occupy in this matrix is dependent mostly we utilize our overall energy.
I think this is where these saints have been able to differentiate us from them, they have used their intellect lot more than their physical capabilities to create a much greater space in the matrix. The greatness is due to the overall bio-energy of the individual. Bio-energy, you must know about it. It’s nothing new. Ancient scripture do speak about it. It has been known with different names. The Chinese and the Indus ‘ .
valley civilization could have been the first to discover it and utilize to its true potential. The Chinese called it ‘chi’ , the Indians called it ‘Prana'

As all living being we all poses energy. We also know energy can be transformed from one form to another. Also it can be transferred from one place to another. If one knows the right technique the person can perform out of ordinary things. This is what might have enabled great men to perform supernatural feats- heal people, have a halo around them, hypnotize ( modify the energy of the opposite person). Influencing the opposite person is performed through the commonly known energy/ heat transfer techniques. i.e. conduction, convection and radiation.

Conduction and convection methods can be clubbed into a single type. This form is performed by ‘touch’. When a guru touches the body of the disciple, the guru is able to gain maximum access to his disciple. He is able to make us realize and increase the space in the matrix. Radiation is a very less efficient compared to conduction. The transfer of bio-energy becomes difficult; also it requires a higher degree of skill and efficiency to perform it. Most such procedures also take the help of the external energy. It is said according to the Hindu mythology that we have an influence of things around us. The places we reside, the position of planets, even the time, etc. This in science can be called the time and space relation. This relation has not yet been completely been understood by modern day science.

Most of us are not capable of doing all the work around us. We have limitations for we are not able to see the vastness of this matrix. Few,who are able to identify this vastness are able to identify his/her limitations. Fewer still try to overcome these limitation but most of us "choose" to live with it.

I will come back with more such articles in the future.....Feel free to comment on this article.
